- What's being discussed in this article? This article is discussing whether these attacks on Afghan schools are because super conservatives do not want women being educated or if it is mass hysteria violence.
- When did the event happen? (Is this breaking news or something that's been analyzed and discussed for a while?) The article was written on August 25, 2010. This is breaking news of another attack on Afghan schools, however the attacks have been occurring since 2006. So it has been discussed for the reason why they are being attacked.
- What questions do you have that would help make this article make more sense to you? What more do you need to learn about to be able to report on this event? I would like to know more about attacks against women in Afghanistan, and how often they occur to stop women from being educated.

Events we remember...
Events I remember:
1. 911: I remember I first heard about it on the radio on the way home from school in third grade.
2: Hurricane Katrina: In 7th grade. I remember it because it was such a big event that is still talked about on the news.
3. Oil spill in the gulf: This event is so memorable because it is so current, also because it affected so many people and animals.
Events my Dad remembers:
1. Martin Luther King was shot: Just got home from school and saw a news bulletin. Was killed 60 miles from where my Dad lived.
2. George Wallace, the governor of Alabama was shot for blocking the military when entering the University of Alabama: Grew up in th south, there was so much negative publicity about him and was not surprised when he was killed.
3. Nixon resigning: Supported Nixon in 6th grade, was disappointed when the Water gate scandal occurred. He was disappointed because he supported him as a small 6th grader.
